Palaver Music is the record-label subsidiary of Palaver Press, a small-run sound & text publishing company founded by Jeremy Young and Catherine Métayer. Its current function is to publish Young's own sound works, as well as work by related cohorts on a manageable scale, marketing to and collaborating primarily with like-minded members of the independent experimental sound and music publishing community. In October, Palaver Music curated the cinema+sound2011 Festival in Montréal. We are generally open to project submissions, though at this time we cannot guarantee participation. However, we do welcome correspondence of all kinds.

Upcoming projects include the release of Ashley Donielle Murray's outstanding short story collection, Fascia, on audio-book, a ciné-roman shot in Portugal entitled Inside Places and a group photography art book entitled TRIGGERED SOUND featuring photos by Taylor Deupree, Marihiko Hara, Gregg Kowalsky, Sawako Kato and Nicola Ratti among many others.

Experimental music will never die, but money continues to dry up its opportunities. Please support fellow artists by purchasing their work, attending their performances and donating to the festivals, organizations and spaces that go broke trying to promote us, and we promise to do the same.
